I missed you all yesterday. I’m feeling better though walking very tentatively. Got some goodies in the mail yesterday that I’m happy to share with you. We will have author Deborah O’Dowd to discuss her book Fashion Fighter If you have children in your lives, you need this book. It’s a story about a very feisty little girl who learns about the effects of war and the responsibilities of citizens in creating it. She learns about political activism and fighting for what’s right. Adults will learn a lot from this story and children are introduced to their up-coming responsibilities in the world. Interwoven are other issues that children today cope with, like blended families. At the back there’s a glossary of terms to discuss with kids and writing instruction to help children learn to write. The brilliant author has produced an important tool for parents in educating their children beyond the A,B,Cs.
