at 6 PM Nathan Harvey from Brave New Foundation Launches Online Campaign on Foreclosure Crisis http://www.FightingForOurHomes.com shows that banks are not negotiating loans despite federal bailout. This morning, Brave New Foundation sent an email to its list of 1.2 million supporters, asking for user-generated YouTube videos of people impacted by the housing crisis. Included in the email was a new BNF documentary video documenting a campaign by One LA, the Industrial Areas Foundation’s LA Chapter, to organize hundreds of families to collectively bargain with the banks. Brave New Foundation has teamed up with groups including ACORN and US Action which are on the ground working with families to save their homes. This new tool will help to ensure that homeowners, individually and collectively, are part of the national debate. Future activities from these and other groups will be added to the site as they happen, effectively creating a real-time snapshot of the foreclosure crisis in America.
