We spoke with Vanessa Richmond who writes for Huffington Post , AlterNet and Tyee. We discussed three specific articles she’s written this month: Bonobo Sex and ‘Ladyboners’: Is Women’s Desire Really that Confusing? http://www.alternet.org/story/125140/bo … confusing/ Is Breeding a Sin? http://www.alternet.org/story/126726/is_breeding_a_sin/ Ratings for Reality Are Down — Love and Sex Storm Back on TV http://www.alternet.org/story/128267/ra … ack_on_tv/

At 5 PM Black Krishna (BK) was born & raised in Toronto, Canada, university-educated & well-traveled. As a creative & compassionate individual getting too-comfortable in a casual corporate environment, he noticed people were artificially less happy than they should be & couldn’t figure out why they couldn’t figure out why. From there, he started working on a five-year plan to save the world as a philosopher translating ideas into writing, music, consulting, journalism & activism. (He’s about a year behind. Sorry.) After looking at traditional socio-political thought & activism & then going deeper into the history of “the system” & how & why it’s constructed today, he’s proposing a 21st Century updating of long-held beliefs & approaches be taken by everyone, including new ideas he’s bringing forward, with an eye towards how to “win” since it seems the bad guys want to. As a former university public speaker & debater, he’s taken these skills & written for papers like “The Toronto Star”, performed music at festivals & events, hosted events like the nationwide protest against the SPP/Gov/North American Union sequel to NAFTA featured in the movie “The Nation’s Deathbed” & others, co-hosted the “Rude Awakening” news radio show on Ryerson University’s CKLN in Toronto & more. As he sees it, the secret to Life is: “no matter what happens, be cool, have balls (or eggs, or guts) & handle it, then things will go as well as they can.” It’s also a good way to get away with telling the Truth, which can come in handy for Happiness.”

We also spoke with Gary Namie, PhD, Director Workplace Bullying Institute and author of The Bully at Work. Dr Namie was kind enough to give us 2 copies of his book for Friday’s drawing.
